it is an art.
today, i shall touch on a topic that many poor souls like me would be able to identify with. poor souls like me who have to travel half the island on the mrt train daily just to get to and from work/school.
Sleeping on the train.
Now, being able to sleep on the train is already quite a feat considering the commotion that often accompanies the crowded peak-hour rides - schgirls discussing too loudly which male celebrity has the cuter ass, new-age-metrosexual-partly-gay guys talking about the latest face-care products and of course also which male celebrity aas the cuter ass, etc.
But the really tricky part is sleeping on a train, unglamourously.
yup, think- gaping mouth + retarded head tilt.
It requires quite some skill i tell ya, in fact, it is an art.
One not only has to block out the relentless commotion, one also has to have a certain level of self-confidence + rockstar i-don't-give-a-shit attitude to convince oneself not to bother about the stifled giggles of the bunch of cute schgirls standing nearby.
it is an art, an unpretentious art, and a rewarding one at that.
So i'll say, all you avid train-goers, shake your arms around, loosen up, and just sleep your ride away, unglamourously!

I remember how I used to sleep on the train from Changi back to Lakeside .. It was the 1st train and I took the double seat which you see at the ends of the cabins. My friends and I just slept lying down on the chairs and since there were no one in the earli morning, we continued to sleep. But my friends sux, they all got down on their stop and left me to sleep. And when I got to citi hall, a whole mass of people came in and stood infront of me watching me sleep. I only woke up at commonwealth seeing at least 10 people staring at me in a packed cabin. Thx guys >_< .!.
