Its only logical..
Food for thought.
If emotions, thoughts, determination, values, beliefs etc could be quantified, and every experience in our life either adds or subtracts to these factors that make up our character, and our character is what determines the decisions we make, and our decisions affect the experiences we will have in the future, which then adds or subtracts to the factors that make up our character...and etc etc etc...the sum of our experiences can and will only lead us to one logical conclusion, which is the the present.
Assuming we were all born with a clean slate, without character nor personality, and we go through every fall, cut, bruise, celebration, event in our life, and meet family, friends, acquaintances along the way, at the exact time and date that we met them, its only logical that we are where we are now, in the present.
Of course, every person is born with a different inherent personality. Some of our character traits simply do not have a history (unless you look at it at a spiritual point of view). However, considering a person with a distinct personality going through each and every individual event in his/her life, it is easy to understand that he would act the way he does now or be the way he is now or live the life he does now. Afterall, it is only logical.
Knowing this, it is only understandable that we had and have no say in how our life has turned out and will turn out. It is all determined by the events that have happened in our life and moulded us into the beings we are today (events that could have been planned by a higher authority). Afterall, teaching someone that he/she can choose to live his/her life and make his/her decisions despite the external events that happened and will happen, is in itself, an event in that person's life that has added or subtracted to the factors that make up her character (an event that could have very well been planned by a higher authority).
Thus, the only possible way we had any involvement in our life and how it has turned out and will turn out is if we chose who we wanted to be and where to be born into before we were born (which I truly believe is what happens).
In conclusion, if you believe the above paragraph, you chose to be here at this exact time and place. Everything that happened happened for a reason, which is to add or subtract the factors that make up your character, so you would arrive at the only logical conclusion in your life, which is the present and subsequently, your future. And if you didn't believe the above paragraph, it is only inevitable that you are here at this time and place anyway.
I am in no way suggesting that we have absolutely no power in our life, nor give up on ourselves. All I am saying is that we are all acceptable, and understandable. There is nothing shameful in being who you are today, and who you will be tmr. Afterall, you were either meant to be who you are at this moment, or you inevitably became who you are at this moment. Afterall, it is only logical that you are who you turned out to be.
So, no matter how we try to dodge or escape, we would all have ended up being the Sunny Saturday gang. It is only inevitable. It is only logical.
It is only logical that Hongda loves sports.
It is only logical that Jianwen is so dark.
It is only logical that Eugene loves Jessica Alba.
It is only logical that Jireh wants an IPOD video.
It is only logical that Max had to cut his rooster hair.
It is only logical that I met all of you, for you will be moulding me into the person I will become, and likewise for me for each and everyone of you.
Afterall, theres a reason we all got together. And even if the reason is just to have CRAZEH CRAZEH FUN! its aight with me mun. Afterall, its only logical that we do.
Sounds logical, doesn't it?
Just a thought.
