life is like...
this afternoon, while spending some time in the washroom (no, i was not making clouds), i had a revelation. well, just like Forrest Lump, i mean, Forrest Gump, had ideally put it - Life is like a box of Chocolates, now, i would like to share my own view on life: Life is like a box of Condoms. No? you don't think so? well, then let me convince you. 1. To start things off, first and foremost: Just like a condom, life is a one-time show only. Once it's over, it's over, no second tries, no reload saved game, just like you can't wash a condom and reuse it again. 2. There are high-quality and low-quality condoms, just like how we live our lives. Some of us choose to make our lives an enriching, meaningful and quality one, whereas others would just sit in a corner and wither away their lives wishing money would drop from the sky. These loafers are just like inferior condoms - they rot away before ever being put into good use. 3. A condom, although thin, can be stretched quite some bit. Just as life is thin and fragile, yet some of us are able to stretch our boundaries to maximise our potential and live a fuller life than others. The under-achievers are like low-quality condoms - they break easily when put to the test. The strong-achievers among us are just like the higher quality condoms, they are able to withstand more ups and downs, or rather, more ins and outs. And of course, like everything else, too much is never gd. The over-achievers are like condoms that are too thick and tough - twice the effort but half the pleasure. 4. Some condoms are lubricated, others are not. Just as some of us are born rich, and can easily slip into a life of pleasure. But let's be honest, in today's society, one can't find fault with money. I mean, of course one can argue that he can survive w/o money, but that's just like an un-lubricated condom - you can still have the sex, but you probably won't see the girl again. 5. Last but certainly not least, just like a condom, life is all about enjoyment. So, before you go to sleep tonight, ask yourself this deep, philosophical, and life-defining question: Do you want to be a high-quality Durex and live life to the fullest? Or a ching-chong brand rubber that looks more like a used trash bag? oh, n just a leaving thought...doesn't this somehow just bring new meaning to, 'Who moved my Cheese?'. ouch.
OMG! the sun is good today =P how i wish i'm at the beach and not at work. amen
Its only logical..
Food for thought. If emotions, thoughts, determination, values, beliefs etc could be quantified, and every experience in our life either adds or subtracts to these factors that make up our character, and our character is what determines the decisions we make, and our decisions affect the experiences we will have in the future, which then adds or subtracts to the factors that make up our character...and etc etc etc...the sum of our experiences can and will only lead us to one logical conclusion, which is the the present. Assuming we were all born with a clean slate, without character nor personality, and we go through every fall, cut, bruise, celebration, event in our life, and meet family, friends, acquaintances along the way, at the exact time and date that we met them, its only logical that we are where we are now, in the present. Of course, every person is born with a different inherent personality. Some of our character traits simply do not have a history (unless you look at it at a spiritual point of view). However, considering a person with a distinct personality going through each and every individual event in his/her life, it is easy to understand that he would act the way he does now or be the way he is now or live the life he does now. Afterall, it is only logical. Knowing this, it is only understandable that we had and have no say in how our life has turned out and will turn out. It is all determined by the events that have happened in our life and moulded us into the beings we are today (events that could have been planned by a higher authority). Afterall, teaching someone that he/she can choose to live his/her life and make his/her decisions despite the external events that happened and will happen, is in itself, an event in that person's life that has added or subtracted to the factors that make up her character (an event that could have very well been planned by a higher authority). Thus, the only possible way we had any involvement in our life and how it has turned out and will turn out is if we chose who we wanted to be and where to be born into before we were born (which I truly believe is what happens). In conclusion, if you believe the above paragraph, you chose to be here at this exact time and place. Everything that happened happened for a reason, which is to add or subtract the factors that make up your character, so you would arrive at the only logical conclusion in your life, which is the present and subsequently, your future. And if you didn't believe the above paragraph, it is only inevitable that you are here at this time and place anyway. I am in no way suggesting that we have absolutely no power in our life, nor give up on ourselves. All I am saying is that we are all acceptable, and understandable. There is nothing shameful in being who you are today, and who you will be tmr. Afterall, you were either meant to be who you are at this moment, or you inevitably became who you are at this moment. Afterall, it is only logical that you are who you turned out to be. So, no matter how we try to dodge or escape, we would all have ended up being the Sunny Saturday gang. It is only inevitable. It is only logical. It is only logical that Hongda loves sports. It is only logical that Jianwen is so dark. It is only logical that Eugene loves Jessica Alba. It is only logical that Jireh wants an IPOD video. It is only logical that Max had to cut his rooster hair. It is only logical that I met all of you, for you will be moulding me into the person I will become, and likewise for me for each and everyone of you. Afterall, theres a reason we all got together. And even if the reason is just to have CRAZEH CRAZEH FUN! its aight with me mun. Afterall, its only logical that we do. Sounds logical, doesn't it? Just a thought. Yc out.

Just so you guys know, there will not be a Sentosa outing this saturday. I think there is a chalet coming up or something. Our camp dudes are planning it. Just to remind the guys too. :)
Wala Wala!!~~~
It's like 4.15am and the guys are still at my place playing mahjong while here I am blogging away. I'm a little too tired to give a detailed account of our experience. Let the pictures do the talking then... Here's the Calamari that I ate most of it. Hehe.. Our messy table. Yep, isn't it obvious who the extra is? Haha!!! Now what? Extra?? We are the JIE MEI HUAs!!! In case you guys didn't realise, there're shadows casted by them. I don't know what they are doing... Eh.. you guys didn't drink a lot right? Hmmmm... YC's eyes just got fixed to the guitarist. Where is YC? Now where is Jwen? Finally... Everyone is in. The Unexpected. She's the lead singer. That's the guitarist YC was looking at. He's power!!! Hmmmm.. don't ask me what is the significance of this picture. No idea.. Mahjong-ing at my place. And where is Max? Still no trace of Max? Yup, always the first to K.O!! Hahaha!!! That's Max.
Crazy Big Kids goes Urban
Ladies and Gentlemen. Due to the recent rise in activities, everyone has been too exhausted to post up new pictures. Therefore to post up some of the pictures which I've manage to capture in my fone, here they are ..
Fine Sunny Saturday for the CBKs!!

Eugene's Sniper pose after jumping over the Baron's signage. YC cheers on!

My Skating Experience
Been feeling a little shitty lately cos of my 'A' level results. I performed way below my standard and potential, because I didn't work for it, because I knew it was unimportant on the grander scale of things, because I saw the zombies around me studying without purpose nor sense. But deep down inside it still feels like a waste that I didn't live up to my potential. And then again, looking at the people around me, the way they live their lives to the max, to take action rather than think, to live rather than dream, maybe the way I spent my time compared to my peers was a wiser. Maybe, in a way, I'm living up to my potential, because I wasn't made to be a zombie, I was made a human. Just a short story, since Ma'am asked to continue some Aesop Fable. Heres mine own! Copyright Wei Yichuan 2006. Wednesday, 2 Mar 2006, 5 Crazy Big Kids go skating to WCP! Yes its a nice sunny day, and Max, Jireh, Jianwen, Hongda and moi go skating to WCP! Plan is to skate all the way there from CMPB and then have supper and crash at Jireh's! But the journey isn't so simple! The road is fraught with bumpy roads and steep slopes, enough to frighten the bravest of the brave! Me: "Holy christ!" So yes, off I go, down the slope at the speed of light! Its steep and its hard to stop! AAAAAAAAAHH!!!
Me: "Dear Lord, please protect me....." Stranger: "Eh??"
Ouch! A hard fall. Should've practised my T-stop more! I knew I was bad at it!
Moral 1: Be honest with yourself. You know you need to practise T-stop you still nvr practise!!! Fooool! Bahaha! Ouch so my butt hurts really bad. Worse than a sennen goroshi.
And still, theres more slopes to come! Slope after slope, terror after terror!
Max comes to slow me down and help me break my fall! Whammo! Max: "UUUghhhh!" Me: "OOOMPH!"
Even Hongda, with a sprained ankle, grabbed me to slow me down. And we both fell together! Hongda: "Ouchhhh!" Me: "X_X"
After each fall, each setback, they were always there to help me get up again. Jianwen will skate behind me to make sure I'll have help when I need it. Jireh will come and check on me every once in awhile and gimme advice on how to skate properly. And Max lemme hold onto his bag so he can help me slow down when there are slopes. Moral 2: Friends are gems. They help you when you're down. They give you advice and see you through the tough times. If everyone were so lucky as me to be surrounded by loving people. Yes at the end of the day, with the cuts and bruises and a sore butt, I'm sure glad I made the journey anyway. Because every journey we have taken has made us into who we are, and every journey we take enriches who we become. Moral 3: Rugby quote! "Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. Glory lasts forever." Take that step forward, because it will make you into the person you're meant to be. You're bound to fall sometime or other, but whats really important is taking the journey, and moulding yourself into a better person.
I just wish the whole gang were here to skate and have crazeh fun together. We gotta get together sometime and have a great big outing for everyone! Moral 4: The Crazy Big Kids rock!!! Join CBK to have crazeh crazeh CRAZEH FUN!!! As you can see, I've much to learn from all the people around me, much more than a school education can provide. Everyone I see is special and admirable in their own special way and has something unique to impart to me. Thats why I've come to meet all of you. It was no accident that we've all met. Simply put, I wouldn't trade this for the world. Peace all, life is too short to regret. All is beautiful. Yc out.
